78% voters, 30 days… I followed up all the exit poll results and analysis in all the news channels (English and Tamil), newspapers (again both English and Tamil), magazines, passionate arguments on both sides, blogs, tweets, astrological and numerological predictions, predictions by birds like parrots, crows, and eagles, ancient runes, some tried to talk to the ghost of Paul the Octopus, tarot cards, effects of Jupiter transit in early May on politics… I can’t stand the suspense any more that I’m writing this blog even while the power backup at home is twinkling dangerously low (30 minutes of summer showers can bring the power down in three big areas right at the center of the city).
