Hello Weekend!

I love weekends – especially Friday evenings. It was double joy to go to a play and dinner with Preetha on a Friday evening couple of weeks ago. The weekend after that, I went out on a really long walk all by myself. This walk included a detour to a book store, a Strawberry Blush, books of Tagore and Capra, ATM to withdraw cash and peanuts on the street near a park... :) Last weekend started with a bang… shopping in the smaller alleys of Commercial Street is a great experience. Saturday Thamba took me to a sale with a warning that “we are not buying anything”. As predicted by less-than-average seers, I got a purse and two t-shirts. Home loan EMI is like a dragon breathing fire on my face anytime I think of shopping these days. This huge commitment kills the joy of shopping… but the caveat here is “if it is not from your wallet…” ;) Amma and Thamba took the bills :P Needless to say I was grinning from ear to ear on the way back home :) Epitome of weekend happiness comes with a movie on Sunday night – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. I never liked the Harry Potter movies nor going out on Sundays, but it was fun to watch the movie sitting in between Thamba and Poppy with popcorn and donuts :) I leave a small prayer to God with this post to make the weekends rest of the year as lovely as these… :) :) :)
